YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. It is not necessary to provide any personal information when you visit the Brooklyn Education Center ("BEC") web site, but if you do provide information as part of an ecommerce transaction or during a subject related inquiry, you should know that BEC strives to protect your information and informs you about how your information is used. BEC takes the following steps to better protect your privacy and to help you understand how your information is used. The Statement below explains our online information practices. To make this Statement easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and on every page where our information collection practices are applicable.

Scope:
This Statement covers all areas of Brooklyn Education Center’s (hereinafter referred to in this Statement as "BEC" ) website located at https://becnyc.org (hereinafter referred to in this Statement as the "Site" ). The information collection practices covered by this Statement refer to information an individual provides to BEC outside of the individual's trade, business or profession ("Information"). The Site may contain hyperlinks to and from other Internet sites, including sites belonging to affiliated BEC companies and other institutions.. Those sites may have different privacy practices from the ones described here. Since this Statement applies solely to this Site, please remember to read the privacy statements of the other sites you visit. For more information about hyperlinks, please see the Terms and Conditions of Use and Services posted elsewhere on this Site.

The Information We Collect:
There are two forms of Information that BEC collects online: Site Visitorship Information and Personal Information voluntarily provided to BEC by Site visitors. Personal Information is collected only when Site visitors voluntarily provide it.

Site Visitorship Information
BEC routinely gathers Information on Site activity, such as data on how many people visit the Site, the pages they visit, where they come from, how long they stay, etc. Site Visitorship Information is:
• collected on an aggregate, anonymous basis, which means no Personal Information is associated with this data;
• gathered through the use of web server logs. A web server log is a file where web site activity is stored.
• used to better design our Site.

Personal Information
Personal Information is collected on certain pages of the Site. For example, if you decide to contact BEC online to ask a question, learn more about a subject or register for a class, etc, you will find that those forms may ask for your name, e-mail and/or street address and telephone number to assist us in providing you with a high level of service.

BEC may ask you to provide Personal Information, some optional, some required, on specific pages of the Site, such as during registration payment transactions. The information requested may include your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card and/or debit card information and your comments. BEC utilizes PayPal for all online payments and therefore does not have access to your credit card information.

How We Use Information:
We use the Information you provide about yourself online to provide you with information about other BEC services that may be of interest to you. Your Information may be shared with our employees that contact surveys, or collect payments, or independent contractors that teach for BEC under a contractual agreement that forbids them from forwarding any information about BEC students obtained while under contract with BEC. We do not share this information with non-Canon companies except to the extent necessary to complete your transaction and, when we do share it, it is subject to their agreement to treat it as confidential business information and with the understanding that it may not be used for any purpose other than to perform their specified function.

If you inquire about a subject that BEC does not offer, we may forward your information to another school only after obtaining verbal or written permission. Use of your information by the school in that event would be governed by its own policies, not BEC's. BEC may also provide links to other school sites from the Site. See our Terms and Conditions of Use and Services about hyperlinks for further information about such links.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive as well as to provide you with service updates, and to notify you about special promotions and offers.

In the course of growing or restructuring our business, we may purchase the assets of another company or sell the assets of our company. During these transactions, information about customers is frequently considered a business asset that is the subject of such a purchase or sale. Also, in the unlikely event that BEC, or substantially all of its assets are either acquired or subject to liquidation in bankruptcy, Information may be transferred as well.

We release Information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law, to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions of Use and Services and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BEC, Site users or others. This includes exchanging Information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Our Commitment To Data Security:
BEC works hard to ensure that our systems meet industry security standards. BEC utilizes Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and hosts its website on wix.com and therefore utilizes WIX's high security standards.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information from those we actually know are under 13, nor does BEC target its website to children under 13. BEC encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate with them in the various interactive activities and downloadable projects that may be available on our Site from time to time.

Right to Change Online Privacy Statement:
If we make any material changes to this Statement, we will notify you by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address you most recently provided us (unless we do not have such an e-mail address) or by posting notice of the changes on our website. Please check our website from time to time to inform yourself of any changes in this Privacy Statement or any of our other policies. Your continued use of our site following the postings of changes to these terms means you accept these changes.

How To Contact Us:
Should you have questions or concerns about this Statement, please send us an email to brooklynedu@gmail.com.
